Kakitsubo is a company that aims to cultivate the traditional Saijo persimmon in an environmentally friendly manner and pass it on to the future.

We at Kakitsubo grow persimmons in the Hirata area of Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture. We are full-time persimmon farmers, cultivating mainly Saijo persimmons, as well as Fuyu persimmons, Izu persimmons, Taishu persimmons, and Yoho persimmons. Saijo persimmons boast outstanding sugar content and have won the grand prize at taste contests across the country. Facing the threat of a decline in producers, Kakitsubo was founded in 2014 and has expanded its fields with the aim of preserving this ancient fruit for future generations. We manage our cultivation in an environmentally friendly manner, and pursue the deliciousness of persimmons.
