We are very sorry for the incident that occurred on the day of the tour. However, the guide handled the situation very well, and thanks to his extensive knowledge, we had a very enjoyable time. It’s just a shame we didn’t have more time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with us for two whole hours in this heat. Having a guide really helped me understand things like why there are so many stone statues of rabbits. There are so many characters from mythology, and their names are so long... that part was a bit challenging. It might be easier to understand if it were presented in a picture-story show format, even on an iPad. I also had a guide explain things to me at Hōryū-ji Temple, and I found it fascinating how similar many aspects were—such as the places where the gods stay or the number of horizontal lines on the walls. Thank you very much. My daughter (a fifth-grader) said it was tough because of the heat, but she found it interesting.

I visited with my mother, who uses a wheelchair. I was deeply touched that you had researched the shrines in our neighborhood beforehand.
