It was a very meaningful experience, as I learned new things about every corner of Izumo-taisha Shrine through detailed explanations. Although unavoidable due to the season, it was quite cold in the shade when we were being briefed inside the Hachishimon Gate, and we would appreciate an improvement.

We had a great time thanks to our guide. It was very easy to understand because he had prepared photos and materials for us. I was able to learn about Izumo-taisha Shrine and the gods in great depth. Having the guide talk to us helped us to deepen our way of seeing and thinking about things. In addition, the story of the priest made me keenly aware of how wonderful and amazing it is that people's hardships and thoughts have been handed down for thousands of years. I was filled with gratitude for the fact that I was able to come here now. Thanks to both of you, my first time in Izumo became a memory that will last a lifetime. Thank you very much for organizing such an occasion. As a Japanese, I decided to read the Kojiki and Nihonshoki.

The tour was very meaningful as it explained in detail about Izumo-taisha Shrine, how to visit the shrine, mythology, etc. However, my main purpose of attending the tour was to get a closer look at the main shrine. However, my main purpose of participating in the tour was to see the main shrine up close, so I was a little disappointed that I could only see it through the gate. Since the condition for participating in the tour was to stay overnight in Izumo City, we stayed at Family Lodge Ryoroya (without dinner), but most of the stores in the area were closed in the evening, so we finally found NAMI and had dinner there. The next day, we visited the shrine again to review the tour and went to Inasa-no-hama, so the stay itself was good, but it would have been inconvenient to stay there without a restaurant where we could eat even at night. There are ryokans that include meals, but inbound travelers tend to stay with no meals, and I think there are many Japanese who want to stay in Izumo simply because they want to relax at the Tamatsukuri Onsen hot springs the next day.

I was able to enjoy high-quality music in the worship hall, which is normally closed to visitors. As the concert was called a "dedication concert," I thought it would be more like a dedication, but I felt it was not much different from a regular concert, which is a bit more casual. It was a memorable experience for me to see a concert in a special space different from a hall while feeling the high skill and musicality of the performers.
