I was worried about participating in the tour alone, but the guide took pictures for me, I was able to take red seals and sandwiches, and I really enjoyed what the guide had to say, which was easy to understand. I think it was also good that we were able to visit the sites in the order based on mythology. I would like to participate again if I have the chance!

A couple from Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, joined us. We were impressed by the fact that Izumo Kagura has been handed down in the community without interruption by people of all ages in the preservation society. The care shown by the people who greeted us was also wonderful. Izumo is not only full of shrines, such as the Taisha, but the Kagura is truly wonderful. I would like to visit Izumo again someday.

The kagura dance was powerful and I felt it is a Japanese culture that we should be proud of. The staff was nice. However, it would have been better if the reception area had been designated. It is not the same as simply going up to the hall of worship when you arrive.

Thank you very much for your assistance. We were very satisfied with the tour as we were able to visit a number of shrines. I learned a lot of things that I did not know before. The tour guide did not lead us to a souvenir shop, which is common in bus tours, and I felt that he really wanted us to get to know Izumo.
