I got a ticket to Izumo Airport between Haneda and Izumo with JAL miles somewhere, so I searched Izumo tourist spots: Izumo-taisha Shrine, Himinozaki, Susa Shrine, etc. I have been to Izumo-taisha Shrine before, and access to it is easy. I had been to Izumo-taisha before and it was easy to get there, but I couldn't go to Himizaki and Susa Shrine because they were in the opposite direction and it would take too long to get there by bus, which was very infrequent. While I was thinking about where to go, I found the "Shinwa-go" bus on the Izumo Tourist Association website. It takes you around Susa Shrine, Inasa-no-hama, Izumo Taisha Shrine, Himisaki Shrine, and Mankusen Shrine in one day. The price is 8,000 yen for an itinerary that would probably cost 50,000 yen if you took a cab! However, the tour was held on Sunday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, so it was necessary to stay nearby on Saturday and Sunday. So I immediately applied for the tour while seats were still available. The tour group that gathered that day consisted of six women, all traveling alone!　I guess we were all thinking the same thing. The tour guide was also a woman, kind, considerate, and easy to talk to, and of course she was a good "Shinwa guide," but we felt like fellow travelers. She also provided us with bags for collecting sand at Inasa beach. This time we took a jumbo cab due to the small number of people, and the driver was kind and easy to talk to. On the way to Susa Shrine, when we saw Tachikuekyo Gorge, which I had researched, I wanted to see this place too! I said, "Good, I'm so glad! (I was in the back of the driver's seat), the driver suggested that we stop for a while on the way back and let me take some pictures on the way back. My only regret was that we did not get to climb the Hinomizaki Lighthouse. We had 10 minutes of free time here, but it would take another 10 minutes to climb down the 162 steps. I hadn't checked if I could climb it for the tour, but I guess I didn't expect that some people would want to climb it. Anyway, it was a long and fulfilling tour, but it seemed to fly by when it was over. Thank you very much for making our time so enjoyable.

Both of them were very kind and friendly, and I was very impressed with their kindness! The driving was smooth and comfortable even on winding roads. The guide was easy to understand and funny, and I was happy to hear that Izumo and Aomori are similar. We were able to see cherry blossoms and sunflowers, meet swans, kingfishers, and kanahebis, and enjoy a delicious sea urchin bowl. We were very happy that we were able to stop by a lighthouse that was not on the course, and we were able to take our time and enjoy the sights! When I was thinking of ways to visit Izumo Taisha Shrine and other places, I happened to find a bus tour called Shinwa-go by the Izumo City Tourist Association. It was a series of coincidences that the tour visited most of the places I had wanted to visit and was available on the day I was planning to go. I was very satisfied with the tour with explanations. Although I was traveling alone, it was an encouraging and memorable time.

It was a beautiful day with clear skies, although it was a bit chilly. Starting at the Susa Shrine, we traveled along the itinerary of Gods coming to Izumo, holding meetings, having banquets, and returning to their respective places of worship. I thought I had some knowledge beforehand, but the guide's explanations made me feel clearer and wiser. Above all, the guide (Mr. F) had a good voice and explained things very well. The driver was also courteous and satisfactory. I would like to introduce this tour to my acquaintances. The omikuji at the Susa Shrine was ookichi, and the Izumo Grand Shrine was No. 23. My birthday is on the 23rd, and I also traveled on the 23rd. Is this also some kind of fate? Izumo, the best!

However, was the narrator not feeling well? He was wearing a mask, so I couldn't hear some of what he was saying, and there were times when he turned his head to the side and I couldn't hear him. Unless he was in poor health, I thought it was not appropriate to cover his face with a mask for the sake of hospitality. I thought it was unnecessary to wear a mask outdoors in a very well ventilated area.

On my first trip to Izumo alone, I participated in the "morning mairi," which allowed me to visit Izumo Taisha Shrine in the sacred atmosphere of the morning. The quietness and atmosphere unique to early morning was very special, and I am truly glad I took part. By chance, we were also able to see the Tsukiji Festival in one day, which was a very valuable experience. The guide was easy to talk to and explained things very clearly, so the 90 minutes went by very quickly. Thank you very much.

I saw the announcement on X and visited the shrine. It was a snowy day, but it was not so heavy that we could not walk. It is not easy to enter the Hashimon Gate, but I was very grateful for the opportunity to see the shrine painted in white up close and personal. After the tour ended in front of the Kaguraden, we left the shrine grounds feeling refreshed, though I am not sure what that was.
