    It was my first time to make Japanese sweets. The craftsmen and store clerks were very attentive to my needs. My daughter, who is in elementary school, and my grandmother, who is in her 80s were able to make wagashi that looked just like wagashi by themselves. The time spent concentrating on making wagashi was refreshing for body and soul. The time we spent making wagashi together as a family was a wonderful memory of our trip.

    I had the opportunity to participate with my children ages 2-4-5. It was a great experience for everyone to join in and have fun together. The wagashi I made myself tasted even better with the matcha.

    This was my first experience of making Japanese sweets. I think my 5 year old was better at making these than those of us in our 60's. Anyone can experience making wagashi. At the end of the class, we enjoyed our wagashi and matcha lattes while having a conversation.
